Cocoa Butter is rich in Vitamin E and minerals such as manganese, calcium, iron and zinc. It improves the “glide” of your solid deodorant while nourishing skin. It is also antimicrobial and antibacterial which helps to eliminate odour under your arm.

The bar needs to glide under your arms and coconut oil helps with this. Coconut oil also helps to kill fungi, yeast and bacteria all of which contribute to an underarm odour. It also moisturises your underarm skin.

If we’ve been applying a deodorant containing parabens, aluminium, propylene glycol, and/or triclosan, our body may begin working to eliminate it once we switch, like a detox process. Baking Soda has antibacterial properties to help control the bacteria that grows in our underarms, which cause odour when they break down sweat. ... When the alkaline baking soda deodorant is applied to our acidic underarms, a chemical reaction occurs to neutralise the odour.

Keep the bar in a cool place and use as required the bar should last up to four months of lasting freshness! We suggest popping it in one of our nifty travel tins *insert link* however, a jar or different container to keep in will suffice. The bars do not dry out but will gather air borne dust if not covered well.

Antiperspirants that contain aluminium salts that help plug your pores so you don’t sweat as much, however these plugged pores can contribute to your natural body’s toxin outlet (your arm pit) stopping the process. Aluminium can be under the name of aluminium chloralhydrate or aluminium zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly.

The concerns about the risk of breast cancer largely have to do with the proximity of the underarms to the breasts. Some studies have claimed that a majority of breast cancers develop in the upper outer quadrant of the breast because that section is closest to the underarms, where antiperspirants — which theoretically get absorbed by the skin or enter through razor nicks — are applied, the thinking being that the aluminium gets into the lymph nodes and then travels to the breasts. Going along with that are the fears that because aluminium plugs the sweat ducts, the body can’t rid itself of any potentially cancerous substances absorbed during antiperspirant use.
